Rooibos Tea
I was delighted to see the Fair Trade offerings on Koinonia's website! Long ago and far away (in the mid-to-late 1990's, to be exact)), our rector, hospitality committee and parishioners at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Martha's Vineyard indulged me when I suggested that we serve Fair Trade beverages during coffee hour. Most folks at that time had not yet been introduced to the concept of fair trade. The products became a learning/teaching economic lesson, as well as a small fundraising project after we decided to selll the same items to parishioners for home consumption during one coffee hour per month. With only a slight markup, our sales supported the additional cost of the FT tea and coffee consumed after church -- and we were all introduced to yummy Rooibos tea! Thank you again!
