Koinonia Farm Pecan Orchards

More than 2,000 pecan trees grow in Koinonia's orchards.

Some are young. Others have been producing pecans for more than half a century. Each one needs the same things: healthy soil, water, careful tending, and time.

A tax-deductible gift of $150 per tree helps us do that work—providing compost tea and organic amendments for the soil, maintaining irrigation, and supplying the tools and equipment that keep the orchards healthy.

Sponsor one tree, several trees, or even a whole orchard. You can also give monthly—$25 a month or any amount—to support the work of sustainable farming throughout the year.

And if you'd like to make your gift in honor or memory of someone, we're glad to send a certificate to the person you name or to their family.

Help us tend something that will keep growing.

Working in the orchard and helping with the harvest in 2000 & 2001

I have great memories of Jim and I plus others picking up tree branches in the orchard and helping with the harvest of pecans. This tree is in memory of my late husband Jim Herrick and others who we enjoyed the fellowship with during our time volunteering at Koinonia.

Proud to be a part of the Koinonia family

I had wanted to sponsor a tree since the last time you made the offer, when I didn't try in time. So I am very happy I got to make the donation now. Koinonia means a lot to me, although I have never been there. It is an important part of the fabric of the Civil Rights movement in the south, and I have found joy in its continuing mission. Kononia has expanded its mission while remaining true to its beginnings.
Thank you for all you do, from the past to the future.

Pecan Trees

What a joy to invest in a healthy future for our world and for Koinonia, from where so much good has already come. (The two of us are celebrating our birthdays by sponsoring a pecan tree for one another.)
