Organic Pecan Halves

I insist on these pecan halves. They are always so good…for baked goods, sprinkled on salads, in granola, but my absolute favorite, pecan pie. All this deliciousness, and supporting a mission and community I believe in..it doesn’t get better than that.

I order the pecans every year for my brother on his Birthday and for Christmas. He loves them and says they are the best he has ever had.

I’m so glad to have found local, organic pecans from a good community. As each quarter cup I scoop out tends to have at least one with awfully bitter remnants, though, I just make sure to do a quick swish in warm water—until the water starts to look a bit muddy—before rinsing and lightly toasting to dry.

I bought online as well as at an Alternative Christmas Market at a local church in Decatur, GA and gave them as gifts. They put a smile on everyone's face and gave them to those people in my life who have everything and are really hard to buy gifts for, so I highly recommend buying the pecans, chocolate and tea as fulfilling and meaningful gifts.

We have been ordering pecans from Koinonia Farm for many years now. When fall weather arrives and Christmas is just around the corner it seems as though pecans come to the forefront of our minds. Pecans are a part of our fall and Christmas traditions. Plus we just like them.
Any of the times we have contacted Koinonia they have always been wonderful to talk with or work with. I hope they stay in business for a long time to come.

I grew up with pecan trees in the vacant lot across the street, and would gather pecans
for my mom to shell. I well remember the sweet nutty taste of fresh pecans she shelled
and I sneaked from from her pile when she walked away. That sweet, nutty taste of
fresh pecans stayed with me through the decades, and was never satisfied by any
store-bought pecans, until my brother gifted me with a tin of Koinonia halves. Thank
you for returning me to the taste of real fresh pecans, and the memories of a time
decades past.

The pecans are super fresh and aromatic. I keep my 5 lb bag in the fridge for extra freshness, but my girlfriend and I plow through it pretty quickly - usually within 3 months or so.

I've been buying pecan halves from various Georgia farmers for many years and finally found in these nuts from Koinonia the freshness, flavor, and tender texture that I remember from my childhood, when we would shake the pecans from my grandfather's tree every November.

I love your pecans so much that even when I lost some of my capability to throughly chew my food properly, I still ordered the pecans and ground them in my mincer. The pecans were still delicious and a delight to enjoy.

I usually buy a 5 lb. bag of pecan pieces, but the last delivery contained chopped pecans which are not as satisfactory as they dry out more quickly and I do not bake daily or as frequently as in years past. The halves work better and are tasty and sweet.

Wonderful, and well worth the small charge over the pieces. These have all been delicious; the last batch of pieces had quite a few off-tasting ones.

These are scrumptious l. They freeze well to be used at a later time. So glad I can shop where the pecans were grown.

Best pecans ever!

These pecan halves are so good- sweet and fresh, I'm on my 2nd 5 lb bag and I haven't hit a rancid or stale tasting one yet. The same price per pound as what you can buy at the store but the taste is just so much better, it's night and day. I love that they're US grown, and I feel good that I'm supporting the work that Koinonia does. Customer for life :)
